Data Services

Why not simplify the research process? Take advantage of our five years of in-depth research design, data collection and consulting experience compiling parent and child speech data. Outsourcing data collection and research design processes to us reduces the amount of time, labor, and money needed to finish your project, helping streamline time to publish.

The Highly Accessible LENA Natural Language Corpus and Database*

Our natural language corpus is massive and continues to grow. Qualified researchers can quickly access nearly 6,000 recording sessions with demographic information. That’s over 81,000 hours of naturalistic, in-home recordings – unique and valuable information gathered from nearly 600 families. The majority of our participant children have been evaluated by certified speech-language pathologists on multiple occasions using language and cognitive measures such as the PLS-4, REEL-3, CDI, PPVT, and CAT/CLAMS. Furthermore, we can make our IRB-approved Informed Consent Forms available, helping to accelerate your IRB approval processes.

Our data from children ages 2 months to 76 months contain roughly:

  • 81,385 hours from 5,955 recordings contributed by 562 participating families
  • 5,930 hours from 365 recordings from 53 families of children with a diagnosed language delay
  • 2,290 hours from 145 recordings from 21 Spanish-speaking families
  • 300 transcribed hours from 215 children
  • 6,340 hours from 390 recordings contributed by 79 families of children with diagnosed Autism
