Tasks include documenting, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting PC hardware, operating systems, software applications, and peripherals for the entire organization. - Bachelors degree with 1 year of desktop and technical support experience

RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Apply your people skills and organization skills in a unique research opportunity involving language acquisition in infants and toddlers. The LENA Research Foundation, a non-profit organization in Boulder, is an industry innovator with a revolutionary product that impacts the lives of children. We are now seeking an individual to work full time in our Research department as a part of national and international projects involving the use of novel technology for accelerating language development in infants and toddlers. This is a wonderful opportunity for a recent college graduate!
As our research assistant, you will:
- Assist in recruitment of families for early language research
- Organize study materials and arrange for transport
- Provide families and/or international collaborators with information and guidance throughout the study
- Monitor participant activities and progress
- Provide data entry and database organization
- Troubleshoot situations as needed
Ideal candidates will possess:
- 4 yr degree (B.A. in Psychology/Linguistics or related field preferred)
- Computer experience
- Excellent organization skills with an attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal & communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- An interest in research & children/language acquisition a plus.

TRANSCRIPTION RESEARCH ASSISTANT (Boulder)
Are you a native speaker of Chinese (capable of understanding Shanghai dialect too)? Apply your organizational skills in a unique research opportunity involving language acquisition in Chinese infants and toddlers. LENA Research Foundation, a non-profit organization in Boulder, is an industry innovator with a revolutionary product that impacts the lives of children. We are now seeking an individual to work in our research department on an exciting project involving the use of novel technology for accelerating language development in infants and toddlers. We are currently collecting audio samples from families living in Shanghai, and we are looking for a professional with experience in language analysis or transcription to help with data collection, data analysis, transcription, and some translation. This is a wonderful opportunity for native Chinese speakers in the Boulder area with interest and experience in the areas of language acquisition and child development!
As our transcription research assistant, you will:
- Work with coordinators at Shanghai Children’s Medical Center to collect audio data
- Listen to sections of the audio and write down what you heard (audio transcription)
- Translate English documents into Chinese
- Organize study materials and arrange for data transport
- Provide data entry and database organization
- Analyze participant data
- Troubleshoot situations as needed
Ideal candidates will possess:
- 4 yr degree (B.A. in Psychology/Linguistics or related field preferred)
- Native fluency in oral and written Chinese (Shanghai dialect)
- Oral and written fluency in English
- Computer experience
- Experience with statistical data analysis
- Excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- An interest in research & child development/language acquisition

WEB DEVELOPER CONTRACTOR (Boulder)
This position is for an ASP.NET and C# web developer looking to work up to a total of 10 hours per month for maintenance with more hours being scheduled on a per project basis. We would be happy to offer flexible working hours although request that they occur during business hours at our East Boulder location.
The ideal candidate would perform web development tasks such as creating new pages or editing existing content, uploading pdf’s and embedding video clips. Future projects include new websites, forum and eCommerce solutions.
Core Skills:
- Ability to convert user requirements into technical specifications
- Understanding of technical and functional design requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Confidence in deploying updated content and new pages to live, public facing web environments
- Motivated self-starter highly adaptive to new environments
Required Skills:
- ASP .NET 2.0 C# - presentation & all layers
- HTML & Cascading Style Sheets Design Skills
- JavaScript and DHTML skills
- ASP.NET AJAX experience
- eCommerce – web forms, MVC
- Open Source CMS
Experience with Subversion and SQL Server 2000/2005 a plus.
